Inventory Management

Master your stock. Add items, set par levels, and track usage.

The Heart of Your Bar

BarBud's inventory system is designed for speed. We support both Bottle Tracking (for spirits/wine) and Unit Tracking (for beers/canned drinks).

Adding & Editing Items

Navigate to the "All Items" view to see your full catalog. Click any card to edit its details.

  • Par Level: The minimum amount you want on hand. If stock dips below this, the item is flagged as "Low Stock".
  • Bottle Size: Essential for accurate pouring cost calculations. Common sizes (750ml, 1L) are preset.
  • Cost Price: Your purchase price per unit. Used to calculate Profit Margins.

Quick Adjustments

You don't need to open the full edit form to adjust stock.

  • Tap the Stock Number on any card to increment it by 1.
  • Long Press the card to open a quick-stock menu.

Low Stock Alerts

The Dashboard features a "Low Stock" widget. This updates in real-time.

  • Yellow Alert: Stock is below Par Level.
  • Red Alert: Stock is 0 (Out of Stock).

Purchase Orders

Use the Purchasing section in Settings to restock.

  1. Add your Vendors (e.g., Southern Glazer's, Breakthru).
  2. Create a new Purchase Order.
  3. Add items to the PO. The system will auto-suggest items that are below par from that vendor.
  4. When the delivery arrives, mark the PO as Received to automatically update your inventory counts.

Warning

Changing the "Bottle Size" of an existing item will not recalculate historical usage. It only affects future sales.
